Hello Hello!!

My name is Mauli Desai, and I’m a communication designer and a visual storyteller passionate about creating narratives which can be helpful in everyday lives. While most narratives are heard or seen, I also aim to make them felt and held. I have always believed design is an experience which can help people or a brand communicate things which they do not want to show directly. 

My design process is rooted in curiosity and research. I draw inspiration from the world around me and enjoy diving deep into areas like semiotics, psychology, and symbolism. These elements not only shape the way I approach design, but also influence how I understand and communicate messages in a way that leaves a lasting impact—both consciously and subconsciously.

In my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy novels and consuming various kinds of media which I deconstruct and analyze. I also love animation (specifically 2D) and storyboarding. Currently, I’m working as a freelance visual designer and I love to draw smiles on random places and see them on people’s faces :). (Click here for a happy surprise)
